P1488 - Auxilliary 5 Volt Supply Output Too Low

Auxiliary 5 volt sensor feed is sensed to be below an acceptable limit.

P1488 - 5 Volt Supply Low

Sensor supply voltage for ECM sensors is too low.

Unfortunatly no I can't, never heard of anyone having that code yet. I just took that info out of the service manual for you.

The Cummins specification for this voltage is 4. 75 to 5. 25 volts, measured at the ECM and 4. 50 to 5. 25 volts measured at the wiring harness. This 5-volt source supplies the engine speed sensor, engine position sensor, oil pressure sensor, intake manifold pressure sensor, coolant temperature sensor, IAT sensor and TPS.

The ECM regulates the battery voltage from its 11 to 15 volts down to 5 volts for the sensors. You can make a measurement on the ECM connector at pins 3, 10, or 31. The problem is reaching it.

I have taken my battery cables lose to try and clear the code this does not clear it. took my EZ or should I say unpluged it, this just made it run like crap. I guess I will take it to the dealer.
