I like to install aftermarket shocks, but can't decide which way to go, Rancho 9000 or Edelbrock IAS. I do have good experience with Edelbrock parts for engines, but not the shocks. And I know Rancho is very popular brand. Did somebody have any experience with both brand? Is any cons and pros on Rancho adjustments ?

M

Well of coarse they are comming out with the next generation Rancho 9000x TOMMAROW because I just bought my Rancho 9000's a week and a half ago. O well I guess, had known I would have waited but these are a good shock thats for sure!

Do your shocks rattle on the front of your truck. After I put the RS9000's on my truck it makes a rattling sound now. I looked at where the noise was coming from and noticed the bushing the bolt goes through on the shock is larger than the bolt enough to make the new noise. You have this problem?

On the ball I see... LOL

I fixed my front shock rattle by using a breaker bar and tightening down the bolts to where I couldn't move them anymore. This solved the rattle issue. I run my front shocks on setting 3 but honestly I don't see a difference between 1-5 b/c of my D25 coils. The front of the truck stays up no matter what. It rides like a 4x4 and no longer like a car with the front end bounce.

i have the ebrock ias , way to wimpy a shock for my 2500 4x4 unloaded , when i hit a rut ( you know one layer of asphalt about 2 inched deep and a bit more or less than a tire width ) at 65 plus the truck just about changes a lane , never did this with my stocks shocks with 40k miles , can't believe i still have them installed

shox

:D I have run 9000's for 200k, Edeljunk IAS for 8k and just ate the 300 bucks to get them off and put my first set of Bilsteins on . So far the bilsteins are the best by far!!:D :p :D
