Is anyone running an attitude for the digital guage functionality only?

Looks like I can spend about 100. 00 less on an attitude at 269. 00 ish, then I spent on analog guages and a triple A pillar.

I was wondering if anyone had done this because I drove by a guy the other night that had one mounted and it sure looked good at night. I looked them up online and they look very clean, I find the look very appealing.

I know they can control an EDGE box as well but could you not just connect up your old analog wires to the attitude and clean up your A-pillar?

I have yet to see one in person so I was just wondering.

The attitude will not work without the Juice.

Sounds like the X-Monitor would be a good choice for you though.

BD makes these, Geno's sells them as well as other vendors.

I had one on my 03, I will post a pic for you.

There are more pics in my gallery.

I hate to hold a carrot, but if you can wait a little longer you will thank yourself.

I can't divulge any more info than that, but it is coming soon!

I'm waiting but rumor has it that your gauge will only support boost, pyro, and trans temp. That would eliminate it as a replacement for those with manual trans who rather be able to measure fuel pressure than trans temp. Although I'm not a fan of the 1970s LED technology of my X-Monitor, it does allow much more flexibilty when it comes to choosing your metrics. If someone would come out with a stand alone, fully configurable LCD gauge, they would sell a ton of them.

Rumors are just rumors.

The X-monitor has a nice screen, I think you are referring to a character display versus a graphics display. I personally don't like LCD screens. They look too dull.

Like I said, I am under oath not to divulge info, but it will be worth the wait. I wished I had it now, but good things come to those that wait.

Yeah I know the sort of display that you are reffering to, but I thought that BD used a VFD character display?

If the are using LED technology this is a little old.

LCD's can freeze or when it is hot they turn black. I do not prefer LCD.

Maybe I am confused?

You guys should start taking notes as I tend to make too many references!

Thanks for the info and the pic of the X-mon.

Sounds like I should just hold pat with analog for a bit.

Although, I am very interested to know why the Attitude will not work without a Juice...

Does it need power?

Does it need to sense a load?

I can not imagine there are any controlling IC's on board the Juice that the Attitude would need for guage functionality.

Anyone know the specifics?

The attitude is essentially a "dumb" monitor. It really does not do anyting except display data. It requires a "juice" box to supply all the information and power.

Basically Edge forces you to buy a package if you like what they have. They have a cool gauge, but the need some competition.

I Just wish that they would make some kind of replacement for the juice so that I don't have to take the monitor out every time that I have to take the truck to the dealer, you know like just a transmitter box that would allow you to keep the gauges but not have the power adjustments... .

I am averaging 18hrs a day! It is coming and coming fast. You will be getting some emailed info very soon.

QUad

I know just having some fun with yah :-laf I am sure we will be talking soon.

If the Attitude is a "dumb" display, then you must mean that the probes run back to the Juice, then the juice sends the data to the Attitude to display?

If that is the case, then I am now looking for the pinout schematic for an Attitude :).

Update!!!

Controller Features:

Stand Alone Operation

Will work on 95-06 Powerstrokes, 98-06 Cummins, 01-06 Duramax’s

Reads EGT, Boost, and Trans Temp with the option to read Fuel pressure (fuel pressure is an add on)

Analog LED Bar graph that is user definable green (9), yellow(4), red(3) (user definable for any reading and definable as to the color vs. temperature)

Graphic VFD, Vacuum Fluorescent Display

Won’t distort in Bright Light, Heat, or Cold Weather

2 Color Programmable warning lights

Photo sensor that will automatically dim or brighten display and LED bar graph based on light conditions

8 adjustable brightness settings on the display

Multiple user selectable warning screens to be displayed at user definable minimum or maximum readings

Displays 3 readings at once, plus power level

Multiple Display options including a variety of ways to display any 2 readings, or any single reading in a large format.

Recalls highest or lowest value of all readings, ex. Fuel pressure would be lowest number, EGT would be highest number

Built in multiple expansion ports

Simple installation, no wiring required, must tap exhaust manifold.

Controls Xzillaraider Modules and displays Power Levels

De-fuels based on any user defined max or min reading automatically and returns back to the power you set it on

Can be customized to de-fuel using and, or, <, >, = to, and can include any 2 readings

Controls most switchable Power Modules or Chips available ( may require adapter cable assembly) including, but not limited to:

Edge, Van Aaken, Bullydog, TS Performance, and BD Power

Also controls most 3, 4 & 6 position 7. 3L chips.

De-fuels any of switchable module or chip based on user defined minimum or maximum readings and returns back to the power level you set it on

Displays power levels or % of power depending on the module.

Controls Multiple Power Modules Simultaneously.

Currently set up for 2, but 3 will be an option. Shows power level on both modules.

Adjust both modules on the fly.

De-fuels Multiple Modules based on user selectable options:

primary first, then secondary

Simultaneously

Alternating (ex. Primary then secondary, then primary, then secondary. )

Included base can be mounted in 2 1/16” gauge pod or configured to stand alone to be mounted in the location of your choice. Base rotates vertically and horizontally to match your mounting location.

Custom designed and molded enclosure with elastomer buttons (similar to a remote control) Backlit buttons

Competitively Priced.

Add-ons: May not be available upon initial release.

Fuel Pressure Sender and Harness

Real Time Data Monitoring

Read DTC codes and Erase DTC Codes

Turbo Timer

Gauge does have a maximum number of expansion ports so you cannot add every add-on and multiple modules at the same time, but there should be enough room to make everyone happy.

I also want to clarify that we DO NOT do our defueling like the Outlook Monitor Does. We DO NOT use the MAP sensor to try and trick the truck into defueling.

I am sure there will be a bunch of questions and I will answer them as they come in.

I have a drawing I will post later, and actual pictures should be ready Fri, or Mon.

did this increase your fuel economy? What type of milage do you get.

Help I have purchased a 2003 Dodge 2500 commings truck. I put an Airaid air filter as K&N only had a kit. I have only been getting 16. 5 miles to gal;lon. I have changed the Dif to moble 1 synthetic and had my trans filter changed and new fluid. Which box Eadge tuner or Banks or which do you folks recommend for increase in fuel economy and to be able to increase HP for towing. I pull a small trailer 26 ft but it weighs about 7000 wet! My fuel econlmy goes down to 14. 5 to 15 miles per gallon when towing. Wht do you recommend?
