Edge Attitude Mount and Uconnect

Has anyone with factory Uconnect used the over-the-mirror Attitude mount from Edge? It looks like a clean place to put it, but i want to be sure it doesn't interfere with the Uconnect. My truck is an '06 Mega Cab. Is there a better way to mount it?

I've had three different locations for mine. First the windshield, fell off driving through MI, couldn't get anything to stick in the minimal spring heat and didn't want to use a permanent adhesive like mirror glue ect. , so it just sat on the dash for 3000 miles back to Montana. Then I bought the EDGE A-pillar mount that connects to the existing pillar, looked really cheesy so I took it back. The third position was my dash, this was EDGE's fix to the crappy windshield mount and now it won't stay affixed when in the direct sunlight. Every time I get in my truck when it's hot the thing is usually hanging near the floor or close on it's way. There's a mount (PIN mount???) in the classifieds from one of the members that looks good.

Your story is what I was worried about. The PIN mount loks like it might be my backup choice. I would really like to use on of these http://www.usdieselparts.com/moreinfo.cfm?Product_ID=177503 but I'm concerned about interferance with the Uconnect.

The overhead mounts has a cut out area that you can take out to fit over the wiring bundle. The adhesive issue is another matter, we have sold over 600 of the overhead mounts with little to no issues, in most cases it's been a situation were there was some "stuff" on the glass. The material is called wire tape and is a form of the hard plastic velcro, it's made by 3M and the adhesive is very tough. But if there is ANYTHING even smoke residue on the glass it will not stay in place. You'd also be surprised at the amount of vapors that comes out of dash dressings that gets on the glass and other areas of the truck that make it tough to get anything to stick to the glass.



I have had an Attitude on my windshield for almost a year now with no issues, I have even seperated the velrco 8-10 times and replaced it and it's been fine.
