Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Has anyone ever had a problem with the Edge EZ box? I recently took my truck to the dealer, with rough start and horrible idle problems. They accused me of an aftermarket box, and initially said my warranty was void. When I called Chrysler, asking for proof that any box had done any damage to my truck, the dealer backed down and the new PCM and ECM were replaced under the warranty. Has anyone even heard of an aftermarket box causing engine damage- not urban myths, but proven occurrences.
By the way- their "proof" that I had even done anything aftermarket? There was a hose clamp that was not factory near the wastegate port on the turbo. Not coincidentally, i have a boost guage which is tied in to a T fitting just about there, or at least in that area. So folks, if you are as sloppy as I am when you install guages, prepare for "out of warranty" threats! Oo.
