Sweeettt!! Makes quite the difference. Very happy with the boost in power. The guys at Huckstorf Diesel in Milwaukee are great. Gonna snag a 5" exhaust and gauges from them too. The dually runs like a raped ape now.



No such thing as too much power.

check the posts on this board before you go with 5" there have been some negatives.

Mark-I got it from a shop in Omaha, NE-friends of mine, I think you can get it from dealers on the net now. It's a nice easy set up, but no, it doesn't replace all the way to the turbo, but it does keep the vacuum sensor and MAP

You wont see a benefit with the 5 till you get in the vicinity of the 500 hp mark and above. On the other hand you lose a little bottom end response at your power level with a five inch. Also in general the overall sound level will increase with the diameter of the pipe so that may be a consideration one way or the other.

Actually Krabman, I disagree. From our testing, we have seen no appreciable difference in performance from the 4" to the 5", but the 5" sounds better and is quieter during part throttle/cruise situations. Our 5" still uses a 4" downpipe, and bottom end is not decreased.



Of course, all this may vary from brand to brand.

I have read that the 5" sounds terrible, so go figure. also i have read that you will lose bottom end. i have no direct experience with it so i really dont know. but if klockliear says s/m its probably true. (he has got the resources at his finger tips to try d/f set ups)

Yep, another thread or 2 up one fellow is claiming that there is a loss with the 5 and sites dyno research. I dont know if that is 5 all the way or 4 on the downpipe and then 5. Is it just me or does anyone else get the feeling that the jury is still out on some of these issues? Makes it kind of hard for folks like me that are trying to figure out what the right approach would be. All well, I am glad that smarter folks than me are getting this stuff hashed out so that we can all make better choices.

I have the 5 inch exhaust that I bought from City muffler and performance for 375. 00 SHIPPED... . I picked up a flo 5inch off of ebay for 75. 00... I always get compliments on how my truck sounds... . Altough it was a little louder with the straight through design muffler it came with... Over all im very pleased with it. . I didnt gain HP but I dropped my EGT's with it... ... .
