Edge Box Vs other new hand held programers

I currently own the edge box and i love it i always keep it on setting #4 and tow anywhere from 10,000 to 15,000 5th wheel with no problems.

Note that i do monitor egt pre turbo and neve had a heat problem.



What i am asking is there a better way to get 100+hp and 200+ tourq i would like to have the abilty to do alittle more also like change shift points change tire size ect. how does a handheld programer increase boost pressure? boost elbow?? is timing an option?

o i own a 2003 CTD so motor.

edge stack

I was told that the edge does not stack well with the smarty. I was told to stack with the van aaken box.



originally I wanted to stack with the PPE programmer but when I saw the smarty I asked a few questions.



It turns out that the edge uses the factory program in the ecm and modifies the parameters. If you use a downloader it changes the factory program and when the edge tries to modify those parameters it get confused.



This forum is full guys who have tried every box thats out there, I would love to here more feedback on some trial and error cases.
