Did Edge ever get the cold weather issues resolved with their Comp boxes?

My 6 month old replacement Drag comp has been on the fritz the last few days with it being below 40 degrees in the morning. One day just the level 5 led was lit and the box wouldn't turn on or off and today it just wouldn't turn on period. I love my Comp box but think it is poor quality when I am on my 3rd or 4th one(can't remember) in roughly 6 years.

I know folks that replace their Edge Comp boxes (on VP-44 ISBs with varied mods... ) once per year... and others that seem to have no issues with them at all...

I also know of two of the Edge Juice Attitude boxes that quit on Duramax trucks and caused the engine to die in traffic. Luckily, both of these guys knew to just disconnect the box and run commando. I ended up looking like an idiot (more than usual... ) for recommending that box. Nice.

They do make good power, but there definitely seems to be a quality issue with them...

My original one lasted about 3-4 years and then one winter did the same thing. Would not turn off or change settings. Sent it in and got a new one that has worked fine for a couple of years now. I still think it is a very good product especially stacked with the smarty to keep the smoke down once you find the right settings.

once i cylce power on mine (key on-off-on) it works again, i need to get it a sweater, they just dont like the cold.

Like doing a second grid cycle before ever starting the truck up? How about a toggle switch to the Comp power wire so I don't have to cycle my grid heaters twice?

Thats the route I'm going. My box is only a few months old & I'll be adding a inline switch of sorts on the power wire to the box. Seems cycling the key 2-4 times always works but WTF? It would be nice if it worked like it's suppose to.

Mine has the same issue. There is a long thread here about what I went through last year working with edge too try and figure out the problem. I wired mine directly to a constant hot line and it now turns on all the time but now it still will not fuel the vp44 until the comp itself warms up. I sent it to edge 2 times last year and they claimed they tested it cold and could not get it to act up. They know of the problem and again claim to be working on it but I think it is like trying to get second gen updates for the smarty. We are getting left behind here also.
