Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Edge Comp...Fueling only?

Can an Edge Comp work properly without the CAN BUS connection hooked up to the engine as a FUELING BOX ONLY? (ie no timing)?

good question. I don't think it would, as the Can-bus tells the box when to "release the hounds". The pump wire is the "hound" that gets released.
