BD Cool Down Timer

Does anyone know if Edge can lose the timing on a comp? I would like to give up the timing and change to a J/A and a smarty for my 02'?

J/A = Edges Juice/Attitude

Dont think the Juice can be had without timing but the Smarty can. The Smarty even numbered softwares are no timing. Just for the purpose you are asking about.

I think Marco has stated that his softwares w/timing take better advantage of his programming when stacked with a nontiming box but his nontiming softwares are still pretty darn good when stacked with a timing box. Hopefully I am not putting words in Marco's mouth but I thought I read where he posted that.

That's the way I understand it as well. i would say that my truck runs smoother on SW#7 with the Comp disconnected (removed from all connectors) than on SW#6 with the Comp on any level. Throttle response is more linear, less bucking with a light throttle at takeoff, less smoke and cruise control is better (still surges pretty good, but better). I don't have dyno numbers, but it is more drivable.

AH I see now the light finally came on. thanks for the answer. there are way too many Abbreviations here and the big list in first time diesel owners section only covers a fraction of them. It gets frustrating sometimes trying to decipher it all. :D

Just unhooked the comp this weekend in favor of the Smarty. Like B2B said, I prefer the smarty controlling everything over the comp/smarty stack. I usually ran my comp on level 2 and I think the smarty on level 9 has more low end than when i ran around on 2x3 and is a lot more fun to drive. Bottom line is I'll be getting rid of the comp. I just don't use it much above level 2 or 3 so it is hard for me to justify keeping it.

Because the Smarty is supposed to have better timing is the reason I would like to keep the Drag and loose the timing.
