just got back from my first ride and :--) :--) :--) i buried my 35psi boost gage --pyro got up to 1500 quick--hard to believe on 5x5---i had the ez for 60k--this comp just blew my socks off :eek: :D :D -------i need air now :{ :{

later marcel

OIC if you done mind the noise take off you muff and cat, put a air filter in and cut holes in the bottom of your air box this will lower your egt

I didn't see much difference when I went from 3" to 4" straightpiped. At best it was 50F lower. The smiles per mile made it all worth wile!

Darn Marcel, I never realized how close Addison was, if you think the Comp made things hop, you should see what a set of DD II's will do for it, of course then the EGT's will really be out of range. When I had just the Comp, with a 4 inch exhaust and BHAF I could see 38 psi of boost but EGT's never really climbed much past 1300, I usually let out of it around there, I think I would've had to try pretty hard to hit 1500 empty. Now with the DD II's it'll peg my pyro really quick. Surprisingly the EGT's aren't too bad going down the pulling track until the last little bit. Recently I made a pull and went 265 feet or so, at around the 240-250 mark I was at 1400 and it was climbing at the very end but not quite pegged.

I think I read in a post awhile back that you can run the comp without tapping the wire and achieve good results? Obviously not as good as when as tapping.

Yes you can. That's how I have mine until I can get the trans/converter upgraded. :{

all that gets you is a ez for the price of a comp

the extra power comes from the pump wire

if you tap the wire and run on 1 and 3 you get

the same thing

dunrite tc and vb--along with a rebuild-spoda be good for 450hp-and glens falls aint that far at all-if you guys have get togethers i would try to make one-where the track at --i have never been to truck pulls-that would be worth the trip!!!!!!!

The only two places I've pulled so far are the Saratoga and Washington (greenwich) County fairs. There is a thread going about a get together out towards Syracuse, I think it's going to be the first weekend in October and I am trying to make that one.
