Just installed my edge comp last night. Like the power but it has a hesitation

between 1700 to 2000. Didn't tap the pump wire . It' only noticible on the higher settings. Had a programmer before and it did it to after I put he injectors in it. So i sold it and got a comp. Injectors are only 60 hp.

And It runs good with just the injectors. Don't think it is the clutch slipping

I figure I would have no trouble telling if it were slipping. Thought someone else might have noticed this on there truck.

Did you run the ground wire for the comp to the air horn or the battery? Run it to the battery and see if it changes things

Mine does the same thing. But my last truck that had the pump wire hooked up didn't do this. Current truck is an autp and my old one was a 6 speed. I figure it's because of this:

http://www.edgeproducts.com/dodge_ISB.html

"Power Level 1 on the Comp is the same as the EZ; on Power Levels 2-5 additional power is added via the wire tap onto the injection pump. If the pump wire is not attached with a Comp, Levels 2-5 are still operational, but the power gain is not any higher than Level 1. Under this scenario, however, power will come on much earlier in the throttle"

If you watch the smoke mine clears up right at the hesitation so I just figured it had something to do with lots of fuel and then not as much as the turbo spools up.

Mine did it with stock injectors and the 275's I have in it now. I leave it on setting 2 or 3 and it's alot less noticeable.

im not trying to stir the smelly stuff up. but why do i see people get comp box and not tap the wire?. level 2 to is the same as an ez, why not just save some money and get an ez. is it because you can turn it off and on? like i said i not trying to offend anyboby, id just like to know

Because once you start the BOMBing process more is not enough :-laf :-laf :-laf They will hook them up eventually :D :D :D

I went with the comp because I wanted to be able to control it in the cab. And I also

have 96000 on my truck and I am going to tap the pump wire after 100000. The third reason is I pull fairly often with my truck and I still have the stock clutch so I need

be able to turn it down or off If I start slipping It. Just wondering what Clutch I would

need and How Much!!!!! Not planning on anymore bombing other than tapping the pump wire in about 4000.

For auto guys like me I know I will be putting down big power sometime and didn't want to buy and EZ and sell it later. But I can't hook up the pump wire until I get a build trans. Mine will already make the TC shudder enough to spill any drink in the cupholder. :(
