Any numbers on fuel economy increase with the Edge easy box for the 2003. I am trying to talk a friend into getting one. Any other comments appreciated. Thanks.

Average 18. 1 mpg on level 2 and 18. 7 on level 3. These are more than one tank. I've never gotten less than 18 mpg on a full tank. I have gotten in the 20's a few times but I can pretty much count on the above on a regular basis. I averaged 17. 5 before the EZ. These are unloaded figures.

Parshal,

I think I may have asked this before. What speeds are these numbers for, and is it highway 90-100%? So far I can get numbers like that without the Edge EZ if I keep my speed at about 62 on the highway, and on some trips hit 20. As soon as I exceed 65, or include some stop and go on city streets, the MPG drops.

I drive 8 miles to work and about half of that is interstate with speeds up to 65 but it can also be stop and go. On the weekends, there are many short trips as well as one round-trip of 180 miles on the interstate with sustained speeds of 75 mph. Clear as mud?

I, too, was able to hit 20+ before the Edge but the numbers I posted are on virtually every tank. Interstate travel with average speeds of 70 - 75 I can routinely get over 19 with the Edge.

I did have a few times when I topped off the tank at less than 70 miles where the mileage was around 16. 8 but that was only two tanks.

Thanks for the replys. I am trying to get my friend to buy one but if he loses fuel mileage he will kill me lol. He has a 3500 4x4 with the new AFE filter kit. (sweet)

The mileage depends on how hard the go peddle gets pushed. Its fun to out pull 18 wheelers on a hill with a big 5th wheel. I always get it from 18 wheel drivers (didn't think that Dodge could do that):p :p MPG going down:cool:

I can drive mine pretty hard without a load and still get better mileage with the EZ than without it.
