I tow 9000 lb in town 3 times a week stop and go and need a little more low end power. I did a search on more low end power and found it is better to add power before changing gears. My question is will my rebuilt stock auto and # 53 block hold up wit an EZ or is this wishful thinking. Should I Leave it alone and just make due. The truck is 4x4 3500 EXT cab. Thanks

With just an EZ you should be fine. Maybe you would want to consider just changing your injectors to a set of 275's. You get a little more power and better mileage ;)

I added injectors first and only experienced higher egt's and smoke. With the addition of the EZ w/boost fooler and elbow it really woke the truck up! I'd start with the EZ. Originally I had a Van Aaken,285's,and the camper and the transmission shuddered locking up in overdrive. The boxes really seem to be a cost effective way to wake up these trucks. Your transmission will complain towing. I'm on my 2nd 53 but that was unrelated I believe.

eherrera Just curious, was your rebuild on the auto to stock specs, or did you tweak the rebuild a bit? Different torque converter, reprogram the valving ??

Yes the trans tech put a heavier duty torque converter and up graded the valve body along with other internal parts. He said that Dodge really skimps on these transmissions. The truck does run way better then stock.
