Hello everyone,
I'm kind of new to diesels but have started catching the bombing bug. I've made it almost a year with just adding a free flowing muffler and air filter.
Well now I recently purchased an Edge EZ and J-hook, and a boost gauge and pyro meter.
So far I installed the Edge EZ (last week, I just couldn't wait) and just installed the j-hook tonight. The question I have concerning the j-hook is , will I see any kind of difference in performance ? or is it just to lower the EGT's , I still get a little puff of black smoke under hard acceleration. The funny thing is that J-hook install should have taken about 15 minutes but it ended up taking two hours
I just couldn't get the damn thing adjusted right, I think it's close , I guess I will find out when I intstall the boost gauge.
I don't know if I like having that hook thing , just in case I have to go to the dealer I won't be able to take it off quickly, what happens if I just unplug the EZ and leave the hook on ?
Sorry for the long post , I'm just trying to learn
