Okay guys I'm in with this truck for the long haul, but would like to make some performance improvements. My 04 has the six speed and 3. 73 gears and the heaviest thing I tow is a 21 ft. ski boat and maybe every once in a great while my fathers 27 ft. Sea Ray. I would like to go with the Edge EZ, AFE intake, better exhaust, FASS system and some injectors.

I plan on running this truck 300,000 miles plus and am interested in any of your experiences and maintenance issues running that many miles with mods. My hot rodding days are mostly a thing of the past, but like all of us I want strong, useable power when I need it. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as right now I'm really on the fence regarding fueling boxes and injectors especially.

Also, what injectors would work best with the combination I have outlined above. Any and all comments welcome.

I went with the Edge EZ and the AFE proguard 7 Mega cannon and gauges I plan to keep mine for 10-13 more years, I love the set up and I know it will be there for me on the long haul. :D

My '99 has over 100K and had zero problems with the Edge EZ. It also has a 4" exhaust. Never felt like I needed more power.

My '03 only has 30K with an Edge EZ and AFE intake. I pull a BIG fifth wheel and don't feel the need for any more power. Nothing passes me up the hill, unless I let them.

Unless you plan to race, I think you'll find just the Edge EZ will satisfy your urge for power. As it is, I'm making so much torque I keep wearing the rear tires out. In the rain it's real easy to get the truck to swap ends if you aren't careful with the throttle.

Maybe I'm getting old, but I feel like I've got plenty of power. More than I can use in most cases.
