O. K. Love the Mega-cab. Finally a Man's cab, but a wheel-barrow in the back. Well, DC got it half write again. Anyhow, my 2001. 5 could run circles around this beautiful thing, sooooo on went the Edge EZ tonight. Really like the little toggle switch, setting 1(just skip that one), setting 2 (we're getting better, and #3 (YEEEE-HAWWW, I felt like I was in the Blue Beast again). Here is my question?

The dread User's manual says that setting 3 should never be used to tow. Now the old 2001. 5 never left setting 3 wether empty or towing 16000lbs for all 90,000 miles it was on. After saying this, setting 3 is the only way I like the EZ. (Toggle switch just became an annoying cord I'm gonna have to hide). I do plan to add an AFE or some other cold air intake which will help some in the AIR department. How are the rest of You 04. 5 and newer EZ users handling the #3 setting?? My truck if You look below is just straight -piped, and I will add one of the intakes, but probably no other mods. . How much towing are You all doing on #3??

Thanks, Fear This!!

Seems to me all you need to do is fit some gauges and decide for yourself when or if level 3 is too much. I suspect that is just lawyer speak in the book. As far as I know most power adders are labled just like that. Once you start turning them up it needs to be clear that you are on your own if something gives. There are lots of guys pushing way more power than that, just watch your EGT's and save up for that new clutch you're gonna need once you stack that EZ :-laf
