Well I went to the Dyno today. I made 6 pulls, 3 without the EZ, and 3 with. Without the EZ my best Hp was 202. 8 and the Torque was 406. 8.

With the EZ hooked up my best HP was 227. 2 and the torque was 480. 3

At first glance I was disappointed with my overall gain, but after studying the Dyno sheets this is what I found:

At 2200 RPM without the box My Hp was 145. 5 and Tq was 347. 3

W/the Ez @2200 Hp was 219 and the TQ was 480. 3 thats a gain of 58. 5Hp and 141. 2 tq

OVERALL I was impressed with the box. It really makes a huge difference around town. These number were made without the boost elbow, as I didn't get that when I bought the box. How much more should I expect to gain if I install a elbow??

Dyno #'s

I wish I could answer your question but I'm not sure. Seems to me I 've read that a boost elbow isn't going to help create HP, just prevent you from creating an over-boost code on the computer (ECM)... . At PDR this fall I dynoed my truck for the first time and here are the #'s I turned on the rollers FWIW. I'm bone STOCK other than guages and a DTT Auto Trans.....

200. 6 HP

412 ft # TQ

As just posted you get the info that says you don't need it (even from Edge). I ran without one for about a year and was pleased with the performance. I have an Hy35 on my atuomatic trans equipped truck so the elbow won't work on a hardlined wastegate, you have to disable the wastegate via a turnbuckle, spring method, 22 shell or turbomaster unit. I did finally get around to putting a turnbuckle on mine and what I found was that I didn't really notice any increase in hp (seat of the pants feel anyway) but I did notice that my egts were a bit lower at the high end. So before the mod I would max out at 20 psi now it maxes about 28psi and it takes longer to raise my egts when I am using that amount of power like pulling through the mountains. So from my observation no real increase in power but lower egts (at least longer to get high) when you are above 20psi of boost.

When I was running the stock injectors, I installed the EZ (with boost elbow) and Jardine 4" exhaust system on the same weekend, so I can't quantify how much drop in EGT was due to each component. Collectively, however, they dropped the maximum pre-turbo EGT from 1300 degF to 1100 degF when we are towing our 13,500 lb 5th wheel (21,180 lbs GCW versus 21,500 lbs GCWR). That gave me enough EGT "headroom" to go to the DD2 injectors, but that's another story.
