Edge EZ, Straight Pipe, AFE DROP IN

I just put the Edge box on and noticed my filter minder is going to 65% again. My AFE drop in is cleaned. I haven't seen this since I had the stock filter. Anyone else seeing the same thing. Will the Open AFE type filter solve this. I am sure this is affecting my boost somewhat. Will drilling holes in the bottom of the stock air box solve this.

Sounds like your AFE isn't much better then stock. I have the stock filter still, original to truck with 14,000 miles on it and it suck down to 65% with EZ on 4

It's the airbox that's deficient, not the filter.

What's going on is you have increased fueling and that has asked for more air via more boost etc and the stock intake track just can't keep up with it no matter what filter you use so it's pulls down the gauge.



When you fix that then the next thing that will "HOLD" you back will be the air exit or exhaust. Remember an engine is nothing but an air pump. If you increase one side of it the other side will want to be helped out too! Call us if you need specific in put.

My exhaust is now 4" from about 30" from the turbo all the way out the back. No muff. So hopefully I have that issue under control. I am going to try to modify the stock airbox this weekend if that doesn't work I guess I will order a mega cannon or equivilent.

Drill a 4" hole in the bottom of the airbox. It will solve your problems.

Oo. No more problems. I drilled the bottom of the airbox full of half inch holes. I was on it hard today and also pulled my 25' boat to the lake and back. The filter minder hasn't moved.
