Hello to all! This is my first post and soon to be first upgrade (mod). I bought a used edge ez and didn't get a manuel with it so figured I would post and ask for a little help. My truck is a 99. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. Brad

Howdy Brad, Welcome to the TDR.

The EZ plugs into the MAP sensor, which is located behind the fuel filter. Simply un-plug the MAP sensor connector, plug in the EZ, then plug in the MAP sensor connector into the remaining female connector on the EZ harness. The instructions say to disconnect the batteries before hand, thats up to you.

I'll get a pic of the location... ...

Rob, thanks for your great help so quick. This looks fairly simple. I'll tackle this as soon as I get home from work tonite. Thanks

edge ez

Hi Brad

I also have 99 and just installed ez the other plug is next to the front left side of the injection pump on drivers side. This has a small triangle plug on it remove and save cap them plug in the other plug to this . If you can't find it look between battery and injection pump down low.

Good luck will improve power alot.

EZ & Fuel mileage

For those of you who are running with the EZ, have you noticed any increase or difference in your fuel mileage? That is assuming that you are still using the same driving habits.

I installed an Edge EZ in my 99 Automatic.

I monitor my mileage pretty closely over periods of time and distance during my travels.

Empty I didn't notice a change but pulling my 5th wheel, 8200 Lbs

I did get an increase of approx 1 to 1. 5 mpg.

The pulling and staying power of the truck is greatly improved now.

I changed from the BD unit to the EZ due to the staying power.

Check the link to Edge or BD's site, I think they have the complete install instructions posted. Or call Edge, they're glad tp help. :)

RKohn- I e-mailed Edge on Wed. afternoon and I'm waiting for their reply just to make sure I get it all hooked up where it's suppose to be. :p :p
