A couple questions in regards to the 'edge EZ'



#1) Does it come with the 'x-monitor' thing , can this be run without... I already have guages.



#2) Who has the 48RE with the edge (or similar device) with NO trans upgrades? I intend to upgrade the trans at a later date but want to know how I'll be without it for a while.

I don;t tow much now and when I do it won;t be exceptionally heavy loads... meaning I;ll never be at or over GCWR.

The Edge EZ does not come with the X-Monitor, I think that is the Attitude or Juice. Can't help you much with the 48RE, mine's a hand-shaker.

EZ/48RE

The X-monitor box are digital gauges so you are fine if you already have some. I've been running the EZ with the 48RE for about 10k plus miles now and I'm not easy on it when I'm driving it either and I have not had any troubles. From what I've read here you shouldn't have any problems with your 48RE with the EZ installed. I've only towed enclosed 4 place snowmobile trailors with my settup as of right now, and it all works great. I couldn't stand pulling with my 48RE before I got the EZ. Because I was use to a 6sp. But now I'm loving life. I was worth the investment.
