Edge EZ

Ijust bought an Edge EZ for my 01'. I have astupid question that the masses might be able to answear. The Edge comes with another connector thats about 5 inches long with a two bigger connectors in the middle. Iwas wondering does this conector need to go somewhere or is it for a different type of Cummins? Igot the impression that you just plug into the MAP sensor and the Datalink and go. Please help with topic and give me some info.

I have a 99, so may not be the same. But you still have to plug the stock map sensor plug into the EZ too.

I did that but there is another seperate connection. It looks like an extesion or something , dut with a big connector in the middle.

If your talking about the pigtail connector then it's just an adaptor for different year models. The EZ has two connections, one for the data link port and one for the MAP sensor. If I remember right the pig tail is for the data link on 2000 and newer cummins rams.

The 2002 MAP sensor connector was changed. Maybe that's what the pigtail is for. I had to use Edge's pigtail adapters on my EZ.
