edge hot juice

I got 03 standard output 250 horse truck with auto transmission. Pulled over the mountain this weekend and the truck surges on settting one and gets worse from 1 to 3. it surges so bad it slows the truck down so I PUT IT IN STOCK MODE AND FINISHED THE WEEKEND WITH NO SURGE ANY IDEAS? Also when I got home changed fuel filter checked how fast the filter housing filled less than 10 seconds. Air filter is clean.

I have experienced the same problem w/ my Edge... got much worst in cold weather, before the truck warmed up. Basically it is malfunctioning.



Call the Edge service # and ask for a Tech. Have the date of manufacture and version # handy, (they are printed on the end of the unit) and the service tech will send you a new unit after you describe your problem. They take a credit card # from you in case you don't send the old unit back.



Several threads were going relating to this... do a search if you want to learn more.



I'm on my 3rd unit so I know the drill well.

Not to got off subject, But those 250hp SO engines are the BEST!



There are about 4-5 of them on here with 500-600 hp

Yea, my little SO does 520hp/1142tq with a single (HTB2) hehehe

well the funny thing is it just came back from warranty because of malfunction. actually it didn't work when I bought it.

My juice has done this ever since it warmed up. I would lose 5 MPH on the interstate then it would speed back up. I should get it back soon and I'll see if they fixed mine.

I just ordered a Juice yesterday, I've always gone with TST but liked the display on Juice and I have no analog guaeges on this truck so I elected Edge this time. Guess I know what to look for now.

I must say Edge's service is very good. I just received my brand new in the box Hot juice with a new attitude moniter and everything. I will try it tomorrow. Oo.

I've had the same problems with edge juice. 1st box, after 5 minutes downtime then restart even if I let it idle a few with the box on 5 the truck would die harshly, then not start for at least 4 to 5 minutes. On my second box now, upgraded to hot version (WELL worth the extra money) I get the same surge just not near as bad. A friend of mine has the juice on 7. 3 stroke and his has always surged as well so I figured it was normal.

Installed my juice, a little easier then the TST since i don't have to stick my hand weigh up into the cavities of the engine, like I did with the TST,where no mans hand belongs. I did get engine check light a few times and called Edge. They are sending a new box, although since I called the light never reappeared. (Kind of the "Go to the detist theory). I really like all the options and the nice display. I also am happy with the response. so far very compatable with the TST and a nice box.

Mine started with the surging again. It was fine for 2 weeks and now it's back it just doesn't happen as often. Also just like before it will not happen with it set on 0.

I was just going to post the same thing... except the last time I had mine in it WOULD miss on "0".



This reminds me I need to update my thread on this topic. Flood the frontpage so maybe Edge takes this seriously.



I swear the surging is somehow weather related. Most of my problems occur when the weather is changing, either from hot to cold or cold to hot.

I get the surge in HOT level six whether its full throttle or 1/4 throttle. I also get a hint of it in stage 5. Maybe I should call Edge?

My HOT juice is messed up again. My surging is back in full force and now setting five does not work it only sets codes 2146 and 2143 and makes the truck miss until I turn it down. I guess I'll be shipping it back again on Monday :{ . I'm starting to think a programmer may be a better choice if this thing keeps messing up. If anybody is interested in the new one when I get it PM me.
