Edge Insight Alerts

Gentlermen I bought an Edge Insight CTS so I could monitor several items at one time without installing a ton of guages. After the install, I was driving and the alert for the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) was sounding at 40. I did not have the engine at full throtle and was shocked to have the alert sound. I am wondering what is a safe pressure for this and also wanted to know if anyone knew what I should set the alert at.



I was also hoping to get info on:

Auto Trans Fluid temp

Engine Oil Temp

Fuel Rail Pressure

Max Boost

Exhaust Gas Temp

and anything else that I should keep an eye on



I tried to find these specs online but did not have any luck. Any help is appreciated.

do you mean 40 PSI of boost? If it is I think that is the max you want to do without head studs.

I turned the MAP alert off... it doesn't really tell you anything.

Calculate the max boost you want and add 15 to it, thats where to set the alert if you want to use it. The CTS is forgetting to adjust for ambient pressure off the MAP reading so its always alerting early.
