2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Edge install

O. K. , I got the Edge comp on order, should be here tomorrow. How easy is the install and set-up? Anything I need to know to watch out for?

First and most importantly, take the enclosed scotchlock used for tapping the wire and chuck it into the trash. Use a Posi-Tap (the black one, available at WalMart). The scotchlocks may not cut through the hard plastic coating on the pump wire.



But on the other hand, I don't see any mods to your auto. Maybe tapping the wire isn't such a good idea yet...

That's what I was thinking also. At least till I find out what the truck will do with the box.

If you are going to tap the pump, which with a stock transmission I wouldnt be, the best way is with a pump cover. It is simple to put on and you eliminate the scotchlock and go to a penetrating allen screw.



As for tapping, I tapped mine with a stock transmission and blew the transmission in less than three days :{



They are really easy to install though.

WOW!!!



Mine held for almost 10,000 miles

Towing, burnouts, and just being plain stupid all the time!



As for the install... the box comes with good instructions (http://edgeproducts.com/pdf/instructions/ECD2000X_Comp_Dodge_98-02_Instructions.pdf)

Since im bored ill go take a picture of where I mounted mine.
