Ditto on the K&N, they let too much through. Any filter you can hold up to the light and see holes is NOT going to catch enough, I don't care what bull story the manufacturer tries to sell you (I worked in a performance shop in 90 and a K&N rep told us that dirt doesn't get through the holes because it is trapped by the oil... yeah, right)! Go Afe, or better, get an Amsoil Ea filter (nanofiber technology from Donaldson), it uses no oil and you just blow it clean with a compressor at about 12psi.
