I have a '06 3500 drw that's giving me fits. I've had an Edge Juice/Attitude on it for 2 years with no problems until now. Over about a 5 month period, 3 differant time while drive along the engine would not respond to throttle. At first I thought- bad fuel or pluged fuel filter, it had about 50 hp. So I limped at a truckstop just 5 miles ahead. I drained the filter, pumped it up, and started it and it was ok. When I got home , I changed the filter and it was fine for a couple months, then did it again. That time I just shut it of for 5 min. stated it up-run ok. The last time I was 120 mile from home going up a long hill and had to keep pushing my right foot down more and more to maintain speed and then it started to dead miss on 1 then 2 cyls and maybe 3 cyls. Topped the hill about 20mph found a side road, drained the filter, no help. Had a filter with me, changed that, no help. Let it cool down for 30min. (willing to try anything at this point), no help. I drove it home, I would guess it had 50hp, could get to 50mph in 3rd gear, egt never higher than 160 deg. (90 deg. at idle). It did run on all 6. Got home, parked it. The next morning started it, sounded ok, got on the road- it ran like a new engine:eek: I installed a rail pressure gage to keep an eye on fuel supply part of this puzzle and it OK.

Talk to my Dodge diesel man and we both decided the Edge was screwed up because I also lost the ability to add fuel(hp) with the Edge. Called Edge, sent it in and it was reflashed and no change. Called Edge, sent it in. This time upgrade to the latest version, no change. This time I received a "new in the box", changed all the wiring and NO change. It runs ok, but can't add horsepower. I take it to My Dodge man, put it on his computer and ALL readouts look great, except for as old MAP senser code.

I'm not sure, but we both think the Edge uses the MAP circuits to fool the ECU into adding fuel. Is this right or wrong?

He put a new MAP senser on and no change:{#@$%!. Can't add hp, stay at stock hp no matter where the Edge is set. Going to call Edge later today, but meanwhile I'm open for suggestions and any HELP on where to look next. Thanks Paul

I am not sure in that rambling what you mean by adding HP with the Juice/Attitude. Do you know what your stock(without the Juice) hp is? What other gauges do you have? Does the truck run fine without the Juice/Attidute installed? Do you mean that you use to have better power with the Juice than you do now?

What diagnostics have you done? Remove the Juice completely and document the engine output/power/drivability. Put the Juice back on and does this get better or worse? If you have problems without the Juice then you have problems. You need to eliminate the Juice first and then see what is left.

I had the same sort of problem on my 03 with the edge... worked fine for two years then all of a sudden seemed to stop running on all cylinders occasionally. After weeks of frustration I finally fixed the problem by pulling the battery cables for a while. The computers seemed to reset and no problems ever since.
