Edge Juice/Attitude Question

I've been running the Juice/Attitude since Jan 1. So far I am very happy with the setup and I have had no problems or major concerns.



However, I do have a minor concern. Since day one I have noticed the pinging that a lot of other guys have talked about. At around 9K I had the TSB for the poor fuel economy performed and the pinging went away. It seems to me that the pinging has returned with the installation of the Juice.



Is this pinging due to the timing that the Juice alters? Has anyone else experienced this?



BTW, does anyone know if the Attitude pillar mount is out yet?

The mount will be available today at diesel performance parts (1-866-455-7788).



People have reported the ping without any modifications.

Yep got them yesterday, the Attitude mounts are color matched to the factory A pillar. In fact the folks at Gauge Works got the OEM supplier to supply them with the same matertial so it's perfectly matched. It's is held on with the stock mounts and is supplied with a slick stainless stell machine screw. It keeps the grab handle in place as well. Call us as we don't have them on the site yet, but will when we get a few minutes.

Pinging



I know with my EZ and the cold weather I've noticed a "rattle" at low fueling conditions, but this is an '03. This is my second winter with the EZ and I don't remember it last year.



At low fueling conditions it rattles like a 2nd gen 24 valve. With the 3rd gen being so much quieter, it basically sounds like every lifter in the motor is rattling with no load while running out a gear.



Is this the sound you are talking about?



I've been patiently waiting for the Edge timing box entry into the mix ... ..... is the Juice gonna rattle like the EZ? Are both boxes messing with the pilot injection?



I personally wouldn't be upset if the juice disabled pilot injection and did it's own fueling event ... ... ..... rattle or not!

FYI - My rattles like a 2nd gen also when cold and at low fueling and I have the volumizer. Like you, I don't remember it doing this last winter.

My relativly stock 03 also clanks around like a 2nd gen in the cold mornings. Done it ever since new though?

The pilot injection event is disabled before a certain temp and or speed ... ..... could be wrong here.



I'm talking full operating temp.
