Edge Juice Installation tips/Questions

Just bought an Edge Juice with attitude for my 06 3500 dually 6sp. Any tips for the installation? Where is the best place on the manifold to put the pyrometer probe? What are the safe egt ranges? Does the edge have a boost fooler or do I have to get one (Can I?).

The most accurate will be pre turbo where the turbo mounts, as far as safe egt's 1200 is a good nuber to stay around higher numbers are ok in short burst, i tow at 1250most of the time with now issues, but just set you defeuling to 1300 or 1350 so it will start to defuel around 1200 - 1250 but some trucks are different, just play with it a little and watch the back down gauge on the monitor to get it where you want it. As far as the boost fooler, i not sure about 3rd gens, just run it and see if any codes come up or see how much boost you get, but i wouldn't think you would since its -6 is electronically controlled. Thanks for the info, did you mount your probe on the manifold close to the turbo or close to the head towards the front of the motor?

pull your fender liner,then you can drill and tap in the collector above the turbo very easily

Yes the 06 juice will boost fool. You can add a quad boost fooler in line with thte Edge and trick the edge to fuel a little harder on the lower boost ranges (but not a big improvemnt) I could see 36-39 PSI with my stock turbo. Now with my WSB i can boost it to 45-48PSI.



Watch the Edge pyro's Ive had two go bad on me and they were never accurate on the low end. I have a BD X-Mon just to watch it more accuretly.



I have one probe near the turbo and one just past #3 cly.



You can get to 1200 stock, the newer trucks can go past 1250. I run mine up grades towing to 1300-1350 for 20-30 seconds at a time. (on both my 04 & 06) Ive peeked the Egt's over 1500 with the hot unlock, which is the best $100 i ever spent.



You get about one HP for $1. 00. (with the hot unlock)



Remeber to set your low boost fuel settings up to 5 on some of your higger settings if you want quicker spool up and a little smoke.



You can drain your stock fuel system w/ hot unlock and #5 setting.

from what Ive seen the 06's are a little bit more sensitive when it comes to the electrical connections especially the MAP sensor and the injector harness plugs.

The only problem ive had with mine is the Pyro's and the A2 software.
