I got my dad the Edge Juice W/A for Christmas. Installed it and everything ran great, until we played with 5x5. On the second hard acceleration the truck started to miss and engine light came on. Fault code was for cyl. 3&6. I did another hard launch and the truck stalled, fault codes for cyl. 2&4 and 3&6 logged. Tried playing with the low boost fueling on E5, it helped very little.

Called Edge and they sent another box. Installed just the box and as soon as the engine started the engine had a miss (cyl. 3&6 code) no matter what level. I checked all connections again and restarted engine, still missing and faults. Called Edge and they sent another box. Installed it last night and it ran great after test driving. Gave it back to my dad and 15min. later the problems back. Played with the truck tonight and the problem seemed to get worse and work its way down to level 3. If you started on level 2 and changed to level 5 on the fly it did not have a problem. The problem is intermittent. When the box is working it works great. The truck is a 04 Dodge 3500 2xi4 235 H. P CA. I'm told by Edge that they are not having this kind of problem with the early 3rd. gens. Im always the first guy to have the problems. Maybe they are right and we have a knack for picking the wrong truck at the right time. I have installed E. J. wA. on 4 other trucks (04. 5+) with no problems.

I'm in no way out to bash Edge. Just want to know if I should recal. the truck or go for the 4th. Edge box.

Probably Edge, I just put one on my 05' and it set off a bunch of codes. New one on the way. After 2, I would just ask for my money back.

have you tried different wiring harness's and check the ground? i'd start there.

Checked the grounds, recrimped the power supply, and rechecked all connections. I wish I had another 03-04 truck to see if the truck or the Edge is the problem. It does not make any sense that sometimes it does it and not all the time if it was the truck.

I have the same type of truck, (04 Ca SO, 5-spd) and I had problems with the box at first. What I found was that the truck needed to be warm (around 180 degrees) before I got on it. If you try to run the box when you truck is cool the box will defuel your truck and cause the check engine light and codes to pop up. This may not be the same problem, but hope this helps.

Rflow, you hit on the head, that's exactly the scenario that tripped the codes in my CA 05. Trying to warm it up quicker by getting on it too soon :(

I installed mine about a month ago and have had no problems so far, truck runs great. Still have not really seen any gains in fuel MPG but power is not a problem. :)

I'm there with D. Inman, I have only had mine for about a week and a half now, not any changes on MPG, actually they went down some, but I haven't driven it a whole lot either, so it may have been just one of those things, but as far as power, it is all there!!! I am very happy with that part of it, just hope the MPG comes also. What are you all getting with yours, I was keeping it on level 1 or 2, not out playing with it much as of yet. Just curious.

I hear ya Sniper, I am getting around 13 and 14 mpg around town. Was hoping those number would go up. I only have 9K miles on the truck, although I have pulled a 5th wheel toy hauler that is about 14K loaded, several times in high elevations. So would think the engine is pretty well broke in or at least has had to work a little. I may get better with age. Kinda like good wine.

I've had my edge juice/attitude for about 4 months and no problems. I, like the rest of the guys, wait to get on it until its warm. Bad stuff happens when your bombed and you push it to the carpet with cold fluids. I'd send for the fourth box, and while your waiting, take it to the dealer have them reflash your truck. Play dumb like you never had a chip. Then, install your new one when you get it back, and wait til it's warm to really get into the pedal. Also, another thing, I never use 5x5. Just seems awefully hard on the engine if you don't have the right mods to compensate for the added power. I never go above 3x5. I'm also seeing milage gains of up to 2 MPG in ideal conditions. Let us know if any of this helps you.
