Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) edge juice with adittude cs help

when iam driving my edge screen will go black then when I hit a button it comes back but not all the gages will return and I have called edge but they say its a problem with my truck possable a ground issue I was hoping that maybe someone had the same problem and could tell me how to fix it . or is it the ob2 plug? iam just looking for any help at all

It almost sounds like something other than a power connection if you can get the screen to light up by pressing a button. To me that says the power to the screen is still on. If the edge plugs into your obd port definitely look into that just to be sure. I had problems with my scan gauge when I first got it the obd plug for the scangauge was cheaply made and fit very loose and would wiggle loose all the time going down the road which would cause it to flicker on and off. I routed the cable so that when plugged in to the port the cable runs straight up and ziptied it in place so that it puts just a little bit of up pressure on the plug (not excessive) This keeps a good connection at all times and prevents bumps in the road from shaking it loose.
