Common rail trucks only please.

Only those who tow with a Edge Juice with attitude only please respond.

Want to find out if buying a Edge Juice for my common rail 06 will gain me any fuel mileage while towing.

Do not care about power gains or mileage gains non towing.

Do not want hear say or a friend of a friend thing. I only want your personal towing numbers.

Please, hand calculated mileage only. NO OVERHEAD READINGS.

many people experience gains in mileage with added performance many stay the same and like myself many loose mileage because of the way we drive. the way you drive will be the only way you will gain mileage. Myself i drive hard and if i got the added hp i am gonna use it, but you could be different. The edge would be a nice choice because you could watch your egt's, and i loved my edge when i had it no problems what so ever with it.

Love my Edge/Attude. Hand figured 19. 06 is the best I got. Not towing though. I tow in the stock mode 99% of the time.

The following is why I'am leaning more toward the Edge Juice with attitude rather than the smarty which was high on my list.

When used in conjunction with the Attitude monitor you can control the five power levels on-the-fly from inside your truck. The Attitude displays all the information a complete set of gauges would and will automatically monitor and display exhaust gas temperature (EGT), turbo boost and transmission slip and de-fuel the engine to prevent excessive EGT, boost levels or transmission slippage. It also displays 0 - 60 times, quarter mile times and actual speed if you are using non-stock tires as well as a host of other parameters. The Juice communicates directly with the engine's ECM, from which it receives vital engine and fuel system information. This enables the Juice to provide smooth and precise power in real time under any driving condition. Imagine, within minutes you get incredible power gains, an increase in mileage and the equivalent of a complete set of gauges with one simple installation!

The transmission slip, EGT and transmission temp is very important. I like the idiot proof settings so it will defuel. I had guages and power enhancements on my 99 and know that you can not always keep your eye on the guages going up mountains and around curves while everyone one around you is passing and some not paying attention to what they are doing. <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

I made the switch from SC Flashpaq to the Edge J/A and so far love it. No regrets about using the SC Flashpaq, (I guess I need to sell my Flashpaq)I just needed more. For me it was simple I needed gauges and a turbo timer. I could buy all of them separate or get it all in one package. Worked out great.

Is stock mode pure stock or is it stock plus some other like timing etc. etc. ?

Most of my hot rodding days are gone so I do drive pretty easy. I mainly want a little umph while towing but not too much to hurt the drive train. The Edge Juice/attitude sounds like it's a well thought out unit.

I had a modified 99 dodge cummins with parts from all over the country. Great minds think alike, "I could buy all of them separate or get it all in one package". :)

I had the edge hot juice w/attitude on my 05', and have a tst on my 04'. I would buy the tst again for any truck of mine. It's much easier to adjust to your load with tst. 9x9 over just 5 levels. Also I am able to control egt's better with the tst. Overall I wasnt very satisfied with the edge. And if you control yourself the tst is a very mild safe box on lower settings. Just my . 02 ;)

I believe it works out like this:

Edge/Juice stages 0 stock; 1-5 timing-duration; 6 HOT mode Timing-Duration-Pressure.

See, edge guarnteed that the HOT dosent add pressure, but some how I lost 2 cp3's from the Hot juice. I know it was the hot version, put it on, leaked for a while, finally got pretty bad so I pulled it off, dealer put new one on. Ran stock for about 10K miles no problems. Put it back on, within a week it was leaking again
