My intitial findings installing an EZ on an SO/48re (bone stock):
Installed very easy - installed at setting 3 - almost suprised by the added power - feels like a 2 stroke dirt bike when it hits about 15lbs - EGT runs up pretty quick - I always back out when it hits 1200
Tried setting 2 - power seems to come on later and there is not as much - but still moves along pretty good - probably the "best" setting but it's hard to leave it there when you know there's more ; )
Setting 4 - seemed to idle a little rough and took longer to start (by a second or so) - Power comes on really fast (poor tires ; ) - not sure I would want to drive it in the rain - very touchy. MPG readout was way off on setting 4 and EGT would run up fast
I think setting 3 is where I will run - Computer MPG seems to be pretty close to actual - gained about 2. 5MPG on the freeway on a 300 mile "test" run
My next step is a Scotty to try and reduce EGT -
