I purchased an EDGE EZ and it was the best thing I have

purchased for my truck. I really enjoyed it.

It lasted 3 months then just

went nuts. Missing, bucking, going to full throttle then shutting

down. I went along with EDGE tech support and convinced Dodge that the injection pump was bad and they replaced it. I figure the pump must

have actually been bad.

I ran the truck for a week stock and it ran ok.

I put the EZ back on it and immediatly it started to miss

once in a while. Then it repeats the same thing it did

before.

So I call EDGE and get an RMA and send it back.

While I am waiting for my EZ to be returned the truck is running fine.

I get the EZ back from EDGE and they said there was nothing wrong

with it, they check it out and updated the software(same version as when I shipped it to them).

Ok so I put it back on the truck and guess what!

The EXACT same thing happends!!!!

We go round and round 3 or 4 times shipping my EZ back to them

and getting the same exact problem back. (customer server? not)

Anyway I finally buy a Juice with Attitude since I would not put

the EZ back on my truck.

Spend $160 getting it put in and they fire up the truck.

I'm thinking this is going to be great. Lots of power.

Truck seems to be running fine so the mechanic

turns the key off and guess what!

It won't shut off!

After talking with EDGE it comes down

to the Juice box has a bad circuit with the turbo shutdown timer.

I just wanted people to know the fun I've had with EDGE.

While I use to swear by them, anymore you couldn't give me

anything from EDGE.

EDGE produces JUNK!

When you send back a bad box they don't check them out and

IF they do they don't know what they're doing!!

Not when you get the same problem back.

And a new out of the box product is bad also.

Again. JUNK.

I'll pass on EDGE from now on and would recommend you do the

same or at least really consider another manufacturer.

Just my personal experience with EDGE.

As for me I will NEVER own anything from EDGE!!

LOL!! ya. Good one. I loved my EZ while it worked. I wouldn't have

traded it for anything. But then it went down hill and stayed there.

I love my Edge Comp

Its been on my truck for 5 years every time I thought it was failing I usually found something else wrong, poor wiring, erating fuel, weak fuel pumps. When you start modifiying your truck you will find every weak link in this very compilcated chain. So before you trash someones reputation. You need to check lots of issues thouroghly.

While I agree with you, when they say it was they're product causing the problem then what else do I HAVE to check.

They produce JUNK, it's pretty simple.

And if they are the EXPERTS then why don't they help me with some ideas

on things to do or check, instead of just send it back. Just keep sending it back.

Then I buy another product from then and it is Junk to!

It has a bad circuit according to THEM.

So you tell me, who is screwing up. It isn't me!

I played along plenty of times. How many times do I have to do

that with no real help from them? Remember, they are the experts.

They could have said , hay check your fuel filter, or check your

fuel pressure. But they didn't. They just kept saying send it back.

So what did I do wrong exactly again?

EZ not so easy on the nerves.

I guess I lucked out with the EZ on my '99. I had it on there for six years and sold the truck with it. Never missed a beat. I'm running a Smarty now on the '07 and feel confident it'll perform as designed. Sorry you had so much trouble.

In regards to your juice module, I'm sure edge produces so many of them, I'm sure someones bound to get a bad one once in awhile. Anyone who mass produces a product is bound to have a faulty part get out once in awhile. You were just one of the lucky ones I guess:) I don't know what to say about the deal with your EZ though... that sucks man. Sounds like the kinda luck I have.

Don't get me totally wrong here. I loved my EZ.

And word of mouth advertising sold at least 5 other unit

that I know of, EZ's and JWA and even one for the 3128 CAT!

But when they don't help you and then

send you another bad product I figured enough was enough.

I'm just wondering how long we would have kept playing the game

of send it back and we'll send it back?

And it most likely took out your vp44?Thanks for the post I have been thinking about buying a Edge product. I really feel a moderate set of injectors(100 hp) or less is the answer for more power with transmission mods of course in these trucks. I believe these plug in products really are hard on the pumps. No more stinking boxes for me only larger nozzles. I have a 99 with 275 rv and a DTT transmission with a RASP.

Ya I thought about going the injector route, but heard on cold days they idle kind of bad. It's cold up here most of the time. LOL!

Ya it could be viewed as a win win for sure.

But it's all the hastle involved and the not "helping" or

really caring about the customer that got me upset.

And then when I buy ANOTHER product from them and it's bad.

That crossed the line. If the Juice with Attitude would have

been good out of the box, you would have never seen this thread.

You would have seen a thread saying how good they did by me!

Well... .

Sadly, not much happens here either except you might get to feel a little better about your rant.

Look at the bright side. You got a $1100 pump installed for free. That would be enough to make me happy.

Sorry for your troubles;

Jim

Any company mass producing a product will have faulty units, nobody is perfect, period. For example, I used to work for one of the largest computer parts wholesalers, just one of the brands of hard drives we sold was Fujitsu, which had a very good record, maybe 10-15% doa rate (good for hard drives, some have over 50%). If you do the numbers, over 1,000,000 made a year that comes to 100-150,000 bad! Take the Juice, guessing production of around 2000 a year at say 5%, a low number for any product, that gives you 100 bad units a year. I have never had any problems with my Juice, works flawlessly, and I see a lot of people running the Edge products without complaint. Far more than are complaining. Maybe you should try to work with them a little longer and see if you can get your problem solved.

While I agree with you and understand your point, I thought after 4 or 5 tries

that I did give them enough chances. I'm not trying to argu with you

either. I'm just stating my points and questions.

How many times is enough? 5? 10? 102? When do they cross the line

because I don't know the rule on this.

When they just kept sending me the same box back and never "really" did anything to it apparently I figured I did my part.

What bothers me is that it was always just send it back and we'll test it and send it back to you. I spend about $100 in shipping alone!

It gets a little expensive to keep giving them chances.

It came back EVERY time with the same EXACT problem.

So that tells me they didn't do they're job.

If you have the same person sending boxes back and not finding anthing wrong then I think they should have noticed something was wrong.

Be it with my truck or they're box, remember they are the experts.

I just think if they would have done the job correctly from the start

this would have never happend. It should have been replaced the second time it went back. Granted they say they tested it and it passed.

That is all well and good. But apparently this process is not finding all the problems.

When you ask to talk to a manager you can't. I asked I don't know how

many times to talk to a manager and couldn't. They were always busy, in meeting or never returned my calls.

So I tried. I tried many times and in different ways to get this fixed.

I have the Juice with Attitude in my truck right now.

But it is bad. I won't send it back until they send me another box.

I figure that is fair this time. I want to make sure I get a different box

and not the same problems all over again. And I'm not paying shipping.

I shouldn't have to.

So I ask again, what is the limit? What is the number of times

to try and work with a company?

I DID my part. THEY dropped the ball many times, not me.

I hope you see my point.

Oh and a couple more things.

I talked my brother in law into the box for his CAT a couple

of days ago so I'm not that evil.

I plan on keeping the JWA in my truck as long as it works.

It is just when it eventually fails if ever I won't buy another EDGE product.

There are things I like about the JWA, the ease of use!

I like the extra power. And it's just fun to use.

When it arrived it was NOT missing any parts or pieces

and the installation manual is excellent.

Now lets see if they step up to the plate and send me another

box before I have to send mine to them.

I personally don't see this happening because I'm am just a person

and not a business. I don't think I could blame them really

but this time they should give a little and not me.

I would even let them use the credit card again to

cover they're investment in the new box until mine was returned.

Thats fair.
