I talked to TST today and they gave me the impression that the new box with gauges built in use existing sensors that determine the operating parameters(EGT, boost etc). Can someone elaborate on this? Has an install of the gauged units for maybe a 2nd gen been written up, and if so where could I find it? I can't believe that I'm being drawn down this path and doing research!

I really like the way TST is doing the HP/torque settings so you can work around the weakness' of the driveline. D@m Them! A support group needs to be established to keep bombers that are helpless against this affliction from setting the boxes too high. Maybe a board could be convened that would only allow TST to increase the settings once a tech inspection determined the ability of the truck to handle them, as well as the driver for that matter.

My name is Tejasdge..... I may already be a bomber and haven't fully acknowledged it... ..... Please don't tell my wife.

Well I find that hard to believe seeing as their is no sensor at all to get the EGT from. Possibly they might beable to get the boost from the computer but I wouldn't bet on it.

The Edge will have Boost and EGT for sure, fuel would be nice but don't think so.

I received an email from TST today. This answers several questions. My email to them and their reponse as follows:

Subject: Power Max CR for '03 Dodge CTD

I'm considering ordering this unit with the digital display of temps. Two

questions please:

1. Is this a "plug and play" box like the Edge and others? Or, is the

connection of the box more invasive and obvious?

2. Does the adjustable with guages come with wiring harness and sending

units for temps or are these extra? If so, how much more for the EGT and

boost sending units and wiring?

Their reply:

Our PowerMaxCR is all plug in with the following exceptions:

The ground wire is hooked directly to the ground bolt on the battery cable.

The 12 volt supply is obtained catch using a fuse tap under fuse 28 in the fuse and relay center.

The exhaust temperature probe requires drilling and tapping of the exhaust manifold.

All items are included.

So I gather that external sensors are required. Still, it sounds like a fairly easy install and is not very invasive.
