I want to pass this along for the next guy that buys one of these puppies.

Check the date on the Edge box when you purchase it. If it has any age on it, you better call Edge and see if there are any updates, flashes, etc. that it needs before you put it in. Mine was manufactured 09/06 and I purchased it last month from a popular dealer. I installed it and after the first week it would do a complete reboot and lose all of my settings. I called Edge and they said that they had some harness issues and would send another. I received and installed the replacement harness, the next morning it did it again. I figured it might be a fluke so set all parameters again and was fine until yesterday when it cleared itself twice in a row. Called Edge today and they wanted the whole thing back as they have to flash it to fix it. I flipped out and told them if I had to take out any or all of it and then wait, then I wanted my money back. After a little more discussion and my expressing some more displeasure about only owning it for a month, they agreed to send me a whole new kit. It still bites because I have the overhead mount and will have to completely remove it all and start fresh. Am running low on wire ties from 2 harness installs now!!! I could have avoided this whole thing if I had realized that a production date that old would cause me grief. I feel that it is a good product, but told them they might want to have dealers do a little better rotating their stock. Thought that it was worth posting if it saves another person some trouble. When the thing works right, it is impressive, but this is getting old. Mike

Running low on wire ties? That would be the least of my worries, be happy you have a manufacturer that backs their product, it could be worse. I have had great customer service with Edge, they have had to send me updated units twice and the last one has been in for about 1. 5 yrs and has been working flawlessly. It will be worth the wait and little bit of trouble. I buy zip ties by the 100 pack, It only takes me about 15 minutes to completely remove or replace the whole unit when I have to take it out for various reasons;)

Good luck, you will be happy with it once they get you a new unit.

Only kidding about the wire ties. It is a PIA just the same and I don't like disturbing all of the plastic trim any more than needed. I know that they are standing behind the product, I simply felt that people should be made aware that some updates may need to done to older stock

My overhead mount came from Autometer. It mounts to the winshield and is a nice piece. Paint to match and it looks great. I will get a picture of it for you at lunchtime and post it on here.

Well wire ties are cheap. You have done spent around 800. 00 so what is 4. 00 more. You have picked a very good box.

now add in wiring for Airdog, 3 pod guages, kill switch, ez, trainhorn ect ect ect, and then you have a reason to complain about removing the one and only addon :)

Seriously, you don't have it that bad. And I like the idea of the zip tie though the fues box cover. I finally found some velco that doesn't "slide around" when hot out.

Jason, I didn't like the idea of drilling the fuse box cover at first but figured that silicone around the holes would keep the road calcium out. There is a second tie that the picture doesn't show thru the cover and around the wire plug so it cannot slide down. That box had moved itself down about 2" before I realized that the adhesive on the velcro was overheating. It hasn't moved since I did the wire tie upgrade!! Cheap mod. :)

I've had to remove mine again for updates and such, but I assure you it becomes a little easier each time! I agree, the wire ties get old... . but it's well worth it for a qualitiy product (IMO) like the Edge... They have some of the best packaging on the market, one of the most complete kits (down to every little piece of velcro you need), and great customer support.

Are the Edge boxes for your trucks still giving you the 125hp(upgradeable to hot 180hp) or are they the new 100hp, upgradeable to hot 125hp? Just curious, I emailed them asking about updates and whether I'd lose my power to go to the new versions with the lower hp and they never wrote me back.
Other than that, great service from them. At around 21k on the juice it threw codes and they flashed it for me and fixed it for free.
