EDM injectors and smoke??

i just recently had a set of EDM 80 hp injectors installed. i notice a tiny amount of smoke puffing at idle in netrual. any one else with EDM notice this? truck has 15000 miles on it. thanks... . james

I would suggest contacting whoever sold you those. White smoke at idle

from a 3rd gen is bad news and since the injectors are new... you could

have a problem.





james, did you trade in your 2nd gen? that was one bad mutha

99 is sold! sucks but now i have a new project! the smoke is blue and it's all the time while idleing.

Assuming the injectors are "new" is a big assumption...



Most aftermarket injectors for the 3rd gen, EDM or otherwise, are exchange nozzles- IOW USED, someone else's problem you inherit.



IMO "new" or "exchange" is a better way to consider the potential quality of the nozzle and injector than "EDM" or "Honed" or whatever.

tobaccogrower, where did you get EMD'ed injectors for an 04. 5? I didn't think any were available yet.



Bob, didn't I read somewhere on the TDR that you can get EDM injectors from a source other than F1, whose injectors are out yet?
