Archived Edmond, OK. Truck took ten min to turn off

i changed some of the settings on my smarty earlier and at first i got a "can bus" error, but i tried a few more times and got the software to finally finish downloading properly, or so i thought anyway. then i took my truck up the street and back and when i turned the key off and took it out the lights etc went off but the truck remained running. Any help or thoughts?

not that i'm aware of. but i only went less than a mile and back and i wasnt hammering on it or anything. i just drove normal. well, for me, that would be somewhere between most peoples "normal" and WOT. but nonetheless, the turbo shouldn't have been hot enough to require a ten min cool down being as how i wasn't pulling anything and i only drove 3/4 of a mile, stopped at the store, then drove 3/4 of a mile back.

Dunno what caused it, but try removing power for 10-15mins to reset the computer(s)... couldnt hurt.

Ahhh, I'm gonna venture out and say you didn't get a good install. I'd suggest uninstalling it, driving it a little, and then re-installing it. If you really want to know what to do PM Bob Wagner, and he'll tell you all about it, I'm sure... ... .

was the a/c on? I've noticed that the EGT will drop MUCH faster in park if I turn off the A/C...

also, where you installing the software in full sun? I've had the smarty shut down if it was not shaded and got too hot...

I feel your pain. I've had a new tyranny on the way from DTT now for over a month and I found out today its gonna be at least 3 more weeks and mine is slipping bad, not to mentioned. I found a piece of a wave bans in the pan last time I changed the fluid. If there's anything I can do to help just call or text me 405. 326. 8520.
