Edge coming out with a Turbo??

Yep, this weekend the EDM's are fallin in, in place of the 275's. Hope they work as good as everyone says they do, 125 HP's

I wish, I need a clutch first. Let us know how install goes!

ahhh!!! whats the big deal? If they whoop *** then they work for me, besides I bet those F1 units would cost a lot more than I payed, and I aint sayin nothin on that note... ... ...

No comment Bob, I would like to know. There is a very competent Bosch dealer buying the EDM tips, and assembling them in brand new bodies here in Utah. I have tested them on the 1750 mustang dyno and the have made more HP then they were rated.

Not trying to be combative at all. I would just like to know what/how they are different or better then other brands of EDM's. They are a very big investment and I bet a lot of people would like to know before they dropped a huge chunk of change on them.

Why do threads turn into a stupid "BRAND" or "Manufacture" debates. . Its like every transmission thread goes... . blah blah blah then all you hear is"DTT" this and "DTT" that, sounds like a bunch of cheerleaders. The only reason there are Companies that dominate is because either lack of other competition or the companies products have not been contested by something else.



There is always room for improvement across the board of Cummins performance, it just takes the right investment of time and know how to get there, I wouldnt be suprised if someone bulids an injector or trans or TC or whatever that embarrasses the rest, only time will tell... ... ... ...





Dont get me wrong DTT makes some killer stuff, so does ATS, but time could introduce something else superior, you never know.
 
EDM's went in great, but the turbo could not handle it. The impeller blew apart and shoved all kinds of metal through the motor. I will post some pics when I get them uploaded...

A blown turbo wouldn't send all kinds of parts thru the motor since it is downstream of it.



But I'm still not sure if your kidding or not.
 
Plenty of engines have been trashed by exploded turbos.



I've seen turbos come apart and ruin a cylinder, then after replacing the piston and turbo, more shrapnel was hiding somewhere and took out a different cylinder upon startup.
 
The only issue I see with injector people is they play..... I've got a secret... ... and they are sooooooo afraid someone is going to steal there ideas and get into there rice bowl.



There are two different people that will not deal with me on injectors, why, because I run allot of Piers's stuff and he is a friend and I won't turn my back on him... ..... something new.



I would be more than willing to run or test most anything even hush, hush if need be, but who am I..... no body to them.



I hope you guys have something there with the injectors, keep it up!

Yep, its toast!!!

I flushed the intercoller with a blower and all kinds of fragments came out. I also pulled the injectors, and no bob all the tips are fine. Every body knows that PSD lose tips. Not the CTD.



This was a simple case of turbo overspeed. The injectors Logan put in were 150 EDM. We are going to get a new turbo on monday and try to fire her up and see how she runs.





PS, the thing smoked like a train without the fueling box on!!! When he hit the switch the boost gauge swung past 40, hit the stop and CABOOM. Lots of white smoke. Isn't breaking stuff great!!!:D
