So are these injectors the best of both worlds? Hp and MPG? Better MPG than 275s? Smoother running? Sounds to good!

If the EDM's are as good as I hear they are, the only drawback is the cost. 275's going for around $250 sound like a good buy to me.

I like mine. 125hp injectors and the truck idles and runs as smooth as stock. I still get 15-16 in town same as stock and I get 18-20 on the highway. Fairly clean too, they smoke a little around town but no more than my old BD2's, but thats not the injectors fault its because of the lag caused by the 40.

I bought a set of 1. 5 EDM's from Rip. I am very satisified with the whole experience. The purchase from Rip, the install, the way they run, the instructions from TDR, everything went as smooth as glass. The power is much better, and I'm getting about 2 mpg better, on my commute back and forth to work. Next stop... DTT!

EDM refers to how the injector is made. Just because it is an "EDM" injector doesn't necessarily make it better..... There are some very good EDM injectors on the market as well as extrude honed models. Whether they are any better or not than a comparable extrude honed still hasn't really been answered in my opinion.

How could you answer that question then? From everyone I've talked to that's had both in the same rating (DD3 to Mach 2 for example), the EDM smoked less, had more bottom end torque, and cooler EGT's. You disagree?

I have a set of Don M~ injectors in my 2002 and I think that work great. Are they better than DD2's or other extrude honed injectors... ... I can't really say, but I am very happy with them.

I think to accurately answer the above question one would need to run some very controlled tests. Dyno runs, load tests, knowledge of the flow rates of compared injectors etc. I am not saying that some EDM's are better or worse than some extrude honed injectors but remember that not all EDM or extrude honed injectors are equal. Just because an injector is made a particular way doesn't make it better.

Just my $. 02 worth.
