Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Educate me on Turbos

I've been doing a lot of reading on Turbos here. My head is spinning like a turbo :-laf . What does the 12, 14, & 16 cm mean? What about 60s and 62s.

Then there's hybreds?

If I missed any other terms please include them for me.

12/14/16 cm are the exhaust housing sizes and the 56/58/60/62/64/66 cm is the compressor wheel size. hybrid is changing the exhaust/compressor sizes of a stock turbo

My 97 12v was a 12cm/56 Hybrid will be a 14cm/60 Hope this helps
