eek got codes!!! help

anyone know what these codes are P 0500 and P1693 ???



while I was reading some other posts someone told how to see if there were codes so i checked and there were hopeing someone can tell me what they are ???

P0500 - No Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal



No vehicle speed sensor signal detected during road load conditions.



P1693 - Mystery code



Simply says there was a code set in the ECM and PCM ... I wouldn't worry bout this one, chances are it will go away when you clear the P0500 code (possibly).

P1693 - DTC detected in companion engine control module -or-A "Companion DTC" was set in the ECM, -or- A "Companion DTC" was set in both the PCM and ECM.



This code could mean that

(1) a fault was detected in the ECM

-or-

(2) a another trouble code was set in the ECM or the ECM and PCM. i. e. set because P0500 (No Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal) caused confusion between the ECM and PCM.



Replace the sensor, clear the fault codes, and then see if P1693 returns.

thanks KatDiesel and Dave Fritz for the info and your promptness took it to the dealer and they fixed it but didnt get a chance to talk to them about the codes was having them do some other stuff so i will have to call them and see what they did ??
