i changed the fuel filter today and had it off then started it to look at something else then drove home approximetly a 40 mile drive then went out to start it tonight started it up it ran for like 30 seconds and shut off started it up again and it did the same thing is it possible i put the fuel filter cap on to tight or what? when i drained it i only drained it a little so when i took the old filter out there was still some fuel in the filter holder thing so just wondering if any one might beable to help me

On my 99, I had a similar problem happen to me yesterday evening. A few hours before I was going out, I started my truck up just to go out and wash it off, and noticed fuel pressure was staying kind of low. I just put on the Vulcan big line kit a few weeks ago, so I inspected the line and found a slight kink where the 3/8 rubber hose connected to the stock hard line at the tank. I cut some more of the hard line off to remedy this, solved the problem. Rode down town, truck ran fine, then came back, truck sputtered and died in driveway. Restarted right back up, died again. Had it out this morning, ran for about an hour straight, no problems. I am assuming you just had air in the line, just like what I had. You can always crack the fitting at the injection pump to bleed it as well. Hopefully its not your lift pump. My dad has an '03 as well, still the original lp, ive been waiting for that to fail.
