Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) EGR block and Check Engine light

Is there a way to stop the Check Engine light from coming on in a 97 if the EGR is blocked? Vacuum is still hooked up but code P0401 is thrown for EGR. This is for off-road use only, of course.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but yes. You can wire some resistors in place of the old wiring but it requires bypassing the IAT sensor and replacing it with resistors as well. There is a schematic in here somewhere if you dig around and haven't found it yet.

Here's a larger version with some additions. I plan on shooting photos when I pull my egr. Have almost brand new non-california intake horn in hand that a friend sold me for cheap.
