120,000 and heat cracks..........
Subtract a 100,000 and you have my truck. Severely heat cracked rotors after only 20,000.
Went with the EGR drilled rotors to try and prevent the heat buildup this time. I have their pads and shoes also. Figured I wanted the most stopping power for my 11,000 pound truck.
In normal driving you really can't tell much difference. If you have to hit the hooks though look out. It will stop you much quicker.
One down fall is the noise. They do squeak some. Small price to pay though for the confidence that I can stop if I have to.
As far as lasting I haven't had them on that long. I don't really care though as stopping the beast is more important than the money for pads. Even a small fender bender far outwieghs the cost of some brake pads & shoes.
Call Glenn at EGR for pricing.
