I've done some searching of past posting looking for excatly what people thought of the performance of the EGR front disc brake conversion (rotors, calipers, kevlar brake lines, etc)..... The conversations drifts in and out, so... . If you have completed the entire conversion to EGR, how does the braking compare to the stock equipment. I tow and haul up to 19. 500 lbs and have to stop. I don't want to spend the money if I'm not going to see significant improvements in stopping distance, brake fade, heat dissapation and pedal feel.

What has been your experience... ... ... ??

Thanks, Rich

Once you get the EGR Brakes hot enough, they fade. When they are faded they are only a little worse than "cold" Dodge Brakes (OEM)

Grossing 27,000 pounds doing 75MPH I can do two panic stops (without trailer brakes) before the brakes get hot.

I can go from 75MPH to 0 then back up to speed then from 75MPH to 0 again,, on the next try the brakes are hot, and once stopped smoke will be rising from all four corners.

From Stock to EGR, Pedal feel goes from "squishy" to "Positive".

This isn't an upgrade I would consider, its something I would do no matter what.

There is no comparison from Stock to EGR.

Thanks for the first hand experience Merrick... ... appreciate it.

I'm this close to getting them unless I get some negative feed back... ... ... .

Any other comments... ... ..... appreciate anything
