EGR Help

Hello All,
Please excuse my ignorance......LOL. Just bought a 2012 2500, 74k miles this last Sat. Have had a 2004 previously. The Perform Service message came on to clean the EGR system. When I test drove it on Friday it was fine. Supposed to leave on a 1200 mile trip in 3 days, and won't be able to get it in before I leave. Couple of questions:

1. Can it wait until I get back?

2. I just moved to Colorado with emission testing. Can a truck pass the emission testing with a delete kit?

3. anyone know of a good cummins mechanic in the Denver area for future work?

Eventually, would like to do some mods to it like my 04.

It will not pass an inspection if deleted.The perform service message is a maint.reminder not a failure.It should be fine for a quick trip

There was a fellow in Greeley named Bob something. Shop was on the very northeast edge of town. He installed a Raptor on my '04 and did a great job and very reasonable. I'll see if I can't come up with his last name or the name of his shop. If you know anyone in Greeley, they might know of him.
