Well, I did some searching on this topic and really didn't get the right answer. I would like to see a procedure on how to remove the EGR system and not have it blow a code on the computer. So if someone has done this to their Calif. truck, I want to hear from you. I'm really tired of dumping dirty exhuast into my clean intake flow. I do have an non-egr intake manifold waiting to be bolted on.

Thanks for all you help TDR fans.

Hi Roy-

I replaced my Calif intake about 6 months ago. I like the drop in EGT but now the Check Engine Light is a constant glow. It use to bug me but I'm getting use to it. Hopefully someone will know how to defeat the sensor or maybe I'll just unplug that dash bulb.

I did the same thing to mine. As far as I know, the check engine light only comes on if there is a problem with the emissions system (somebody straighten me out if I'm wrong), so I just unplugged the dang light. Gomer's has an "EGR Compliment Kit" on their website, for $100. I have no idee what that is. Anybody know?
