EGT and boost guage question

I need guages ASAP. Added box last week and now I'm worried about pulling 5er or equipment trailer w/o guages after reading some of the horror story posts about overfueling and overboosting. Guess I got the cart before the horse but I would like to get some opinions on the guages some of you use and if you would recommend them. TIA for your help. BTW this truck hauls b*** now. I LOVE IT!

you definately NEED Gauges. I ran for awhile with a box and no gauges... man was I surprised when I added them. Good thing I never pulled without them. I can go over 1350 way to easy, even empty. My opinion is go with what style you like. I got autometer ultralites because I like the way they look. I also know that they're not a piece of crap from asking on here before I bought them. They've worked great so far except for the fogging lense, which is covered under their warranty. There's a lot of guys with different gauges and once you find one you like ask about it, somebody will have an opinion. I used Westach in a pillar mount. Real happy with the gauges and the price was right. When it comes time to install them, look at the following thread:

I went with the Westachs - see signature. You didn't say which box you installed, but with the EZ on setting #3, boost elbow (31 psig max boost), BHAF and 4" exhaust, our maximum pre-turbo EGT's when towing our 13,500 lb 5ver have actually dropped from 1250 degF to 1050 degF. I'd still install the gauges, though!

I bought the triple pillar and autometer Z series gauges which I think look most like the the factory dash gauges from www.dieselpage.com (diesel injection service) Customer service was top notch. They stocked all the parts to complete the job. Paul
