Running with the AC on at virtually any outside temperature, when I arrive at my destination, the EGT will NEVER go below 350 degrees F at idle. I must turn-off the AC and idle for several minutes until the EGT gets to 300 when I want to shut-down. That or I must remember to shut-off the AC several blocks before I arrive at my destination and then the EGT will go to 300 fairly quickly. The truck never runs hot for me. It causes me to use the AC much less than I would really like.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I have seen the same temps with A/C on...

Many times to help speed my cooldown, I turn off the A/C and enable the high-idle (I have an 04. 5 auto so I can use the manual high idle off the cruise control switch). Once she is down in the 330-350 range, I kill the high idle and it is litereally moments until I get to the 300 mark and can shutdown...

Mine does the same thing which is exactly why I put the BD engine shutdown timer in my truck. Turning the AC off just prior to pulling in and parking is becoming standard practice and helps reduce the engine idle time.

Of course, free exhaust and more cold air only help the process.
